Foreigners’ Public Welfare Chinese Training Class held in ABC

In order to help the foreigners in Wuhu to better understand China, understand Wuhu, integrate into the society, and improve their ability to use Chinese for business communication, the opening ceremony of the Chinese training for Foreigners in Wuhu jointly organized by our college and the Foreign Affairs Office of Wuhu Municipal Peoples Government was held on the morning of September 11th. Mz Teng Hui, deputy director of Wuhu Foreign Affairs Office, Mr Li Zhong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of the college, Mr Zheng Chengzhi, member of the Party Committee and vice president of the college, and heads of relevant functional departments attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Mr Zheng Chengzhi.

On behalf of the school, Mr Li Zhong first extended a warm welcome to the participants in the project and thanked the Wuhu Foreign Affairs Office for its long-term support and help. Then, he introduced our college from the aspects of school history, development status, international education, etc., especially of the achievements of our school since the construction of "double high project". He pointed out that in recent years, the school has promoted international education as an important starting point for the development of the school, and this project can not only enhance foreign friends understanding of China, of Anhui, and of ABC, but also has important significance for the school to accelerate the service of local economic and social development. He expressed his expectation to deepen the historical and cultural exchanges with other countries and enhance their friendship through exchanges.

Mz Teng Hui, deputy director of Wuhu Foreign Affairs Office, highly affirmed our school's active preparation for the event. She pointed out that the project takes care as the starting point, innovation as the focus, and communication as the foothold, so that foreigners in Wuhu can master basic Chinese communicative language, better understand Chinese cultural customs and local customs in Wuhu, and enhance their sense of happiness and gain in the city. She expressed the hope that through this project, foreign friends can better integrate into Wuhu, fall in love with Wuhu, publicize Wuhu, and jointly promote cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.


After the opening ceremony, the students began their first course, the study of Chinese tea culture.

The training program lasts for about 12 weeks. The training courses include two modules: "Business Chinese" and "Introduction to Chinese Culture", which mainly include basic business Chinese dialogue, business Chinese etiquette, Chinese tea culture, paper cutting art, martial arts acquisition, calligraphy writing, Chinese songs, dance learning, and Wuhu city introduction. In the future, the school will continue to strengthen the international promotion of Chinese language and the dissemination of Chinese culture, improve the level of Chinese exchange among foreigners in the region, enhance their understanding of Chinese society, strive to develop more foreign friends who know and love China, and further promote the opening up and social and economic development of the region.
